Cheesecake Factory coming to Mall at UTC

Taubman Centers, one of the developers of the under-construction Mall at University Town Center, has announced three new restaurants to its tenant mix.

The Cheesecake Factory, The Capital Grille and Kona Grill join previously announced Brio Tuscan Grille and Seasons 52 as restaurants highlighting the $315 million mall.

Each of these restaurants are new to the Sarasota market.  

Other confirmed tenants to the mall, which is also being developed by Benderson Development, include Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy's, Dillard's, Smoothie King and American Eagle Outfitters. 

The Capital Grille, part of the Orlando-based Darden Restaurants, is known as a fine dining steakhouse. Like The Cheesecake Factory, The Capital Grille has a location in International Plaza in Tampa — a Taubman-owned mall.

Kona Grill, a sushi restaurant, also has a location in Tampa.

The Cheesecake Factory is known for its extensive menu and, of course, cheesecake.
