Visit Sarasota County honored for coverage of Amish

Visit Sarasota County (VSC) has been honored with a Gold Adrian Award for its “Amish Las Vegas” video that was featured on the Today Show’s website. The video reached a potential audience of eight million viewers and depicted the county’s unique Amish community.

The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International present the Adrian Awards, which honor the best in travel marketing and public relations. A panel of judges from the travel sales and marketing industry chooses the recipient.

VSC’s “Amish Las Vegas” showcases how visitors can enjoy Sarasota’s Amish community through activities as well as a look at how “Amish Snowboards” vacation.

The award will be presented on Feb. 21,2014 at the Adrian Awards Gala, in New York City.
