Sarasota Police investigate shooting

The Sarasota Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on the 1900 block of 32nd Street around 11 p.m. Monday, April 22.

Officers heard gunshots southeast of the intersection of Myrtle Street and North Washington Boulevard, and responded to a nearby home after calls to dispatch about a shooting.

Police found a man with gunshot wounds on the ground outside the residence, and another man with similar injuries inside the home. Detectives continued to interview witnesses the following morning.
