Sarasota County School Board to get business partner update

The Sarasota County School Board meets 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 15 at the Landings Administration Complex, 1980 Landings Blvd. for a workshop. County staff will be updated on implementation of an advertising policy. Six other counties are doing the same; however, none of the six are considering an advertisement policy with a business partner have yet signed contracts.

Also at the workshop, board members will:

• North Port technical education programs
Members will discuss North Port workforce training programs and development of the North Port Business Advisory Committee within a program timeline.

• Wellness programs
The efficacy and financial needs of the Employee Wellness Program will be examined.

• Rental Rates.
Members plan to cover rental rate tiers for school facilities, including sports fields and gymnasiums.
