Former Commissioner Randy Clair and current Planning & Zoning Board member John “Jack” Daly are the latest residents to express interest in the at-large seat vacated by Commissioner Hal Lenobel by submitting their résumés to the town.

Clair served two terms as an at-large commissioner beginning in 2005 before losing the seat in 2009. He wrote in a cover letter that he would consider running for re-election in March 2013.

Daly, who also serves as president of Club Longboat condominium, did not indicate whether he would consider running for re-election.

Currently, eight residents have submitted résumés to the town to express interest in the seat: Clair, Daly, Terry Gans, Len Garner, Gene Jaleski, Ray Rajewski, Mark Wickersham and Woody Wolverton.

The town continues to seek résumés from interested candidates.

The commission will consider appointments for the seat at a 2 p.m. special meeting tomorrow at Longboat Key Town Hall.
