Art Tankersley, fourth from left, organized a group of Whitney Beach residents, friends and family to attend a Baltimore Orioles’ spring-training game Sunday, March 13, at Ed Smith Stadium. Tankersley has been a loyal Baltimore Orioles fan and worked for the organization for many years. He organized a group last year, and they all had so much fun they wanted to do it again. Eight of the tickets that Tankersley bought were donated by Nancy Jones for the UN Women, Gulf Coast Chapter’s annual International Women's Day Luncheon silent auction. Tankersley's group of approximately 30 people took up two rows of seats along the first-base line. Although the Orioles did not win against the Detroit Tigers, the attendees still enjoyed a great day at the ball game.
