Neal home sales continue to grow

East County builder Neal Communities boasted 37 contracts for new homes in June, hitting record sales for the month since 2004.

“While economic foes still debate the value of buying a home, our buyers clearly believe in this American Dream,” said Mike Storey, Neal Communities building division president. “Our continuously strong sales for all of 2011 clearly demonstrate that when priced right and with quality building and service, the market can and will remain strong."

Of the 37 contracts signed, eight were in Lakewood Ranch's Country Club East and seven were in Central Park. Contracts also were signed for houses in Forest Creek (six), Wisteria Park and the Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club (three each), River Sound and Country Club East (two each) and Mandalay and Miramar (one each).

Four contracts were signed for communities in Sarasota.
