Goalkeeper Dan Murray blocked four of five penalty kicks to lead the visiting Lakewood Ranch High boys soccer team past Tampa Jesuit 3-2 in a Class 4A-Region 3 quarterfinal match Feb. 3.

Trailing 2-0 early in the first half, Marco Padilla scored to cut the lead in half. Zach Reda tied the game with two minutes left in regulation off an assist from Padilla to send the game into overtime.

After allowing Jesuit to score its first penalty kick, Lakewood missed its first two before Padilla and Shane Baumann scored, giving the Mustangs a 2-1 lead. Murray stopped the next four penalty kicks to preserve the win for Lakewood.

The Mustangs return to action at 7 p.m., Feb. 8 at George Steinbrenner in the regional semifinals.
