A third suspect has been arrested in a Dec. 11 shooting of three men in Newtown.

The Sarasota Police Department developed probable cause for the arrest of Darrenton Trebbles, 17, of Sarasota, on Dec. 17 and he has been charged with three counts of attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm today after the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force assisted in finding him in Manatee County.

As officers were responding to the scene, calls were received advising of 40 to 50 shots fired and multiple shooting victims at 2530 N. Washington Blvd.

Officers arrived on the scene and located three victims that had each suffered multiple gunshot wounds. All of the victims had been occupants of a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo and had to be transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Rashad Lee Steen, 20, and Bobby Sharpe have also been arrested with the same charges and police are looking for other suspects in the continuing investigation.
