Peggy Lammers’ home has more to it than meets the eye.

Touches of her personality are evident, with a welcoming jungle of plants and art pieces leading to the front door.

It’s difficult to figure out where to look first at the myriad collectibles within the home.

“It’s a strange house, and I like strange things,” Lammers said.

The rooms have different themes — there’s a garden room, a cowgirl bathroom and other themes that run together and come apart as you move through the house. In a room near the front of the house is Lammers’ studio, which is packed with finished pieces, half-done pieces and a wealth of visually appealing knick-knacks. There’s a two-faced doll that’s part of a project Lammers is excited about — but her friend was shocked when she bought it.

Still elsewhere is a shrine to Lammers’ horses, including hair from her first horse’s tail. In the living room over the mantel is a painting of a woman with a green nose, which Lammers said she sometimes jokes is her.

“I like to decorate in vignettes,” Lammers said.

There’s so much to look at within the house that the outside view is easy to miss, but the light coming through the windows brightens up all the elements of Lammers’ wonderfully weird home.

“I’m proud to say that nothing matches,” Lammers said.
