East County student's short film wins at Miami film festival

A short film written and directed by Braden River High student Carrie Dutting, "Alike" won first place at the Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival shorts competition, held Jan. 23 and Jan. 24. Dutting also won the Young Prodigy Award.
