A home in Mira Mar Beach tops all sales in this week's real-estate transactions. Hubbard and Claire Singleton, of Cobb, Ga., sold their home at 65 Beach Road to Stuart Johnson, of Dallas, for $1.8 million.

Columbia Restaurant gains over-the-hill status

The original Columbia Restaurant, in Ybor City, was founded in 1905. It is the oldest restaurant in the state. Now the oldest restaurant in Sarasota, the St. Armands Circle location celebrated its 50th anniversary last weekend.
