Tower Residences condo sells for $2.25 million

A condominium in The Tower Residences tops all real-estate transactions from June 13 to June 17. Michael and Karen Valentino, of Sarasota, sold their Unit 1203 condominium at 35 Watergate Drive to Sally Yanowitz, trustee, for $2.25 million. Built in 2003, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,985 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.85 million in 2003.

Cops Corner

2:50 a.m. - 1000 block of North Tamiami Trail. Noise Disturbance. Complainant said the pressure washers cleaning a supermarket were making too much noise. However, it's likely if the store didn't clean the store, it would probably receive complaints that it's too dirty.

Sarasota commission to address homeless feedings

Downtown residents are proposing limits to the weekly feedings of homeless people in Selby Five Points Park, but the last time the City Commission tried to discuss the issue, an unruly crowd disrupted the proceedings.
