The Gan School at Temple Sinai hosted a session of its summer camp, Friday July 12. The camp, which was cowboy themed, brought two ponies to the school, and children took turns riding around the school's nature trails, while dressed in cowboy hats and handkerchiefs.

Brides browsed through hundreds of white gowns Saturday, July 13, at Brides Against Breast Cancer '¨Charity Wedding Gown Sale & Bridal Show to find their dream dress and to help people impacted by cancer. The sale runs to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 14. Brides Against Breast Cancer will donate $2 million this year to Center for Building Hope.

PHOTO GALLERY : Boots vs. Badges

Firefighters and police officers rolled up their sleeves Saturday, June 13, at Westfield Southgate Mall for the 8th annual Boots vs Badges campaign to donate blood to Suncoast Community Blood Bank. The goal is to raise 300 pints of blood during the friendly competition between officers and firefighters July 13 to 27. Community members choose who they want to donate for. 'We need to take care of our full time residence,' said Mayor Shannon Snyder who donated blood for Badges after being with the sheriff's office for 25 years.

Community members joined founder and CEO Michael Saunders for breakfast and to pick up their checks. Saunders praised community organizations for their work and explained what each organization does.
