Primrose celebrates world's cultures

From Egypt and China to Italy and Mexico, students at Primrose School of Lakewood Ranch took a trip around the world for the school's sixth Celebrating Cultures event Sept. 24. Each class studied a different culture, created costumes and enjoyed authentic cuisine.

Progressive dinner offers taste of world cuisine

Sixty East County residents made their way down Lakewood Ranch Main Street during the Around the World Progressive Dinner Sept. 24. With stops at five Main Street eateries, guests enjoyed samples of foods from all over the world, including Scotland, Argentina and France.

Mustangs cruise to road win in Cape Coral

Under the leadership of safety-turned-quarterback Zack Larson, Lakewood Ranch High School continued its winning ways with a 35-14 victory over Ida Baker in Cape Coral Sept. 24. The victory puts the Mustangs at 3-1 on the season.

With its namesake rumbling off in the distance, The Out-of-Door Academy corrected its first-half mistakes to defeat St. John Neumann (Naples) 19-8 Sept. 24 in Thunder Stadium. The Thunder clawed back from an 8-0 halftime deficit and kept the Celtics scoreless in the second half.
