Auto burglars target communities out east

Nearly 30 vehicles in four East County and North Manatee neighborhoods have been burglarized since June. The most recent rash of break-ins occurred in Mill Creek July 24-26.

Girls Scouts complete Silver Award project

Troop 722 Girl Scouts Natalie Reid and Paige Parker, both 14, constructed a Smokey the Bear display at Camp Honi Hanta as their Silver Award project. The girls presented the project to a group of Just for Girls campers July 23.
