Marissa Taylor and her kids, Arlo Taylor, 10, and Harold Taylor, 12, said they enjoy being near Arlington Park & Aquatic Complex, including during the Easter season.

An event they had the chance to enjoy, for the second time, was the Aqua Egg Hunt, held March 28 by the city of Sarasota.

"We love it," she said. "We love Arlington Park. We live right down the street, so we can ride our bikes here. It's a great community. Everybody's just so nice and friendly."

The event allowed kids to swim for Easter eggs in the heated pool, in hunts divided by age group and sometimes involving help from parents, with prizes available in certain eggs. They also had the chance to meet Pete the Bunny.

"It's a nice twist on the Easter egg hunt, the typical easter egg hunt," Taylor said.

Another attendee was Emily Goldreck, who said her kids Rowan Goldreck, 11, Sage Goldreck, 9, are part of the Sarasota Tsunami Swim Team. She said everyone feels like the egg hunt is an extension of it when they come to the event.

"We did it last year. They did this year. It's a highlight of the year," she said.
