One person died and two were injured in vehicular crash on State Road 70 Monday night.

The accident occurred around 10:10 p.m. at State Road 70 and 56th Court East, in Bradenton.

A Florida Highway Patrol report states a 2004 Suzuki driven by 20-year-old Jessie Caudill, of Sarasota, was heading eastbound on State Road 70, approaching 56th Court East, at a speed faster than the posted speed limit, when a westbound 2008 Infinity driven by 21-year-old Chris Marcelin, of Bradenton, attempted to make a u-turn and pulled into Caudill’s path.

The front of Caudill’s vehicle struck the right rear of the Infinity.

Caudill died on scene, the report states.

Marcelin suffered minor injuries. His passengers, Ronald Peirre-Paul, of Bradenton, and Alexis Garcia, of Bradenton, suffered serious and no injuries, respectively.
