What time should middle and high school students start classes?

A topic that has been on the table for a few months, the Manatee County School District is again discussing start times for the age groups.

Currently, middle students start school at 9:15 a.m. and end at 2:10 p.m. High school students start classes at 7:45 a.m. and end school at 2:05 p.m.

Do you have an opinion on how early your child should start school?

Those interested should attend the school board's workshop from 3 to 5 p.m. Jan. 12, followed by the school board meeting at 5:45 p.m.
