Pirates ask: "Oh, say can you sing?"

Before the Pittsburgh Pirates say “Play ball!” they’re saying “Oh, say can you ‘sing’?”

Auditions to perform the national anthem at Pirates’ games will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 30 at McKechnie Field.

Auditions are open to anyone interested and will be conducted a cappella and must be no longer than two minutes in length. Registration closes at noon.

The Pirates’ 16-game home schedule starts Feb. 29.
