Whether prom attendees preferred a quiet atmosphere of poker games, Tarot card readings or a quick round of shuffleboard, or wanted to dance to pop or hip hop music, the Out-of-Door Academy's event had something for everyone.

The school's prom, held April 16 at The Founders Club in Sarasota, was themed masquerade this year. Students played dress up by wearing masks, oversized sunglasses and feathery boas while having their photos taken.

Other students, such as Kate Patrice, never left the dance floor.

Patrice lip synced to most of the songs played throughout the night, while dancing with her group of friends who showed off their dance moves.

After the prom, students went back to the Lakewood Ranch high school for a post-prom celebration of games, music and other activities.
