Local author reads during Braden River Public Library's storytime

Kids had oceans of fun during the Braden River Public Library's weekly preschool storytime.

The storytime had a special guest Wednesday, Sept. 30. Siesta Key resident and author Diane Ochiltree visited with the children and read aloud her newest book, It's a Seashell Day. The book coincided with this week's theme, oceans. Chris Culp, youth services librarian, also lead songs and a sea-scene craft. 

Donna Asbell brings her granddaughter, Scarlet, to storytime every week. She's taking pictures of Scarlet each week to make a scrapbook.

"This is what we do together, for over a year now," Asbell said.
