Student gathering planned for Shreve, Duran

Friends of Brendan Shreve and Jared Duran will gather at 7 p.m. tonight, Bayside Community Church’s East Bradenton Campus, 15800 State Road 64, Bradenton, to celebrate their lives during a student gathering.

Shreve and Duran, 17 and 15, respectively, died tragically around 5 a.m. Saturday morning, after the 2012 Mercedes Shreve was driving crashed head-on into a tree in the median of Lakewood Ranch Boulevard, just north of clubhouse drive.

A Celebration of Life service for Shreve is scheduled for 6 p.m. Oct. 15, at Woodland Community Church, 9607 State Road 70 E., Bradenton.

A service for Duran is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 16, at the Lake Vista Clubhouse, 7702 Lake Vista Court, Lakewood Ranch, and a memorial Mass at 1 p.m. Oct. 17, at Incarnation Catholic Church, 2901 Bee Ridge, Sarasota.
