Cardinal Mooney 

Mongeon scored four touchdowns to lead Cardinal Mooney to its first victory of the season in its Class 3A-District 5 opener against Calvary Christian. He scored on runs of 4, 59, 4 and 11 yards. Mongeon finished with 105 yards on the ground. He also caught three passes for nearly 80 yards. 

TOP PERFORMERS 

ODA quarterback Anthony Squitieri threw four touchdowns and also ran for a score in his first start. 

Cardinal Mooney quarterback Tristan Hillerich threw a pair of touchdown passes and also ran for two scores. 

Braden River running back Raymond Thomas scored a pair of touchdowns on runs of 18 and 29 yards. 

Braden River running back Jaylin Austin carried the ball 10 times for 110 yards and two touchdowns. 

Lakewood Ranch running back Justin Fischer carried the ball 18 times for 121 yards, including a 72-yard touchdown. 

Cardinal Mooney wide receiver Alex Sobczak caught a 56-yard touchdown pass.
