Manatee Clerk to run for re-election

Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller R.B. "Chips" Shore has started his campaign for re-election.

Shore joins Supervisor of Elections Mike Bennett and Property Appraiser Charles Hackney as the third constitutional officer to file paperwork to for the 2016 election, and has started fundraising with a $500 personal loan.

"I look forward to the opportunity to serve the citizens of Manatee County for another four years," Shore said in the release. "My experience, my drive and my passion for our community are a few qualifications I bring to this position.
