WEEKEND BEST BET: Community Haven 60th Anniversary Luncheon

A staple in the lives of East County residents with disabilities, Community Haven for Adults and Children with Disabilities is celebrating a birthday.

The organization is turning 60 years old.

From 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 21, the facility will house a 60th Anniversary Luncheon to celebrate the group and the individuals who benefit from its services.

The luncheon will feature food catered by Michael's on East.

Tickets are $95 and are available by calling 355-8808, ext. 258, or visiting communityhaven.org.

Through community volunteers and donations, Community Haven provides disabled children, teenagers and adults with a range of services, such as therapy, education, housing, vocational training and job placement.
