Two Lakewood Ranch residents have applied to fill a Lakewood Ranch Community District 5 seat soon to be vacated by board member Tom Bishop.

By deadline Feb. 19, Glenda Robertson and Michael Miller had submitted their resumes for consideration.

Robertson served on the CDD 5 board from November 2006 to November 2010, and also served as the CDD liaison to the Inter-District Authority Board at that time. She also has been involved and remains involved in the Country Club/Edgewater Village Association (CEVA).

Miller has been an active member in the homeowner's association, serving on his neighborhood commitee since 2008, and on the CEVA board since December.

"We have a great community here and I want to participate in keeping it strong and well managed," Miller wrote in his application. "I have participated in CDD and CEVA over the years to learn how the governing processes work and to know the kinds of issues that come up and how our Town Hall staff, CDD and CEVA board members work together."

The CDD board will consider the applications at its March meeting.
