Families marked the sixth night of Hanukkah Friday at Temple Emanu-El.
The annual event Hanukkah Happening brought together generations to dine and observe the holiday. Children competed in a menorah-making competition that included a "Minorahsaurus" that was made with a 3-D printer. A special appearance from Judah Maccabee, played by Moses Glickman, who told the story of the miracle oil that lasted for eight nights.
Many families brought their own menorahs as the centerpieces to their tables. After the festivities guests observed a Hanukkah Shabbat service.
