Mar Vista begins dock construction

Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant & Pub is on track to have a new dock by the end of October.

General Manager Anthony Cucci said the restaurant tore out its old dock last week and estimates the new structure will take four to six weeks to complete.

The new dock will be “just like the old one” but will have new stringers, runners and composite decking wood and will also have two new fingers, allowing it to accommodate two extra boats, Cucci said.

The town issued a building permit for the estimated $102,950 project earlier this month.
