Longboat Chamber of Commerce to host September networking events

Every month the Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce hosts a pair of events to bring together area professionals from a variety of fields.

"Even though this is a relativly slow time on the Key, I think the locations of this months events should bring out some new faces," Gail Loefgren, president of the Longboat Chamber of Commerce said. "Its an opportunity for professionals to get together in a relaxed setting."

Loefgren added that the first event will be more formal, with guests given the chance to speak breifly in front of the crowd about themselves and their bussiness.

The Islandstyle Networking Luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m on Sept. 18 at the Tommy Bahma Restauraunt on St. Armands Circle.

An RSVP is needed for the event since lunch will be served, and tickets are $25 for members and $30 for future members.

Bussiness After Hours will begin at 5:30 p.m and will last untill 7:30 p.m. on Sept 25 at teh Wicker Inn Resort in Longboat Key.

Loefgren said this is more a social event, with tickets costing $5 for members and $10 for future members.
