Home in Whitakers sells for $2.95 million

The following residential real-estate transactions took place between May 5 and May 8.

A home in Whitakers tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Peter and Allison Scanlan sold their home at 2145 Alameda Ave. to Matthew Connors and Sandra Gailitis, of Cabin John, Md., for $2.95 million. Built in 1992, it has five bedrooms, four baths, two half-baths, a pool and 6,439 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $2.65 million in 2001.

SARASOTA
Plaza at the Five Points
Waterside Properties LLC sold the Unit 17PHD condominium at 50 Central Ave. to Jeffrey and Bonnie Glazer, of West Hartford, Conn., for $1.9 million. Built in 2005, it has three bedrooms, four baths, one half-bath and 4,095 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.4 million in 2011.

Beau Ciel
501 Beau Ciel LLC sold the Unit 501 condominium at 990 Blvd. of the Arts to Thomas Rinaudo, trustee, of Downers Grove, Ill., for $1,475,000. Built in 2003, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 3,100 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $900,000 in 2010.

Sarasota Bay Club
Sarasota Bay Club LLC sold the Unit 428 condominium at 1299 N. Tamiami Trail to Joseph and Constance Ellison, of Sarasota, for $1.05 million. Built in 2003, it has three bedrooms, two baths, one half-bath and 2,206 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1,012,000 in 2004.

Rigbys
Rigbys Beacon Homes of FL LLC sold the home at 1777 Irving St. to Thomas Conklin, of Charleston, S.C., for $700,000. Built in 1922, it has three bedrooms, two baths, one half-bath and 2,847 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $499,000 in 2005.

Vamo
Javier Arana and Mary Allen sold their two properties at 1744 Vamo Drive to Chelon Rieniets, trustee, of Sarasota, for $605,000. The first, built in 1925, has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,654 square feet of living area. The second, built in 1994, has one bedroom, one bath and 528 square feet of living area. They previously sold for $320,000 in 2000.

Desota Park
Constance Saltonstall, trustee, sold the home at 1952 Hibiscus St. to Natalie Best, of Sarasota, for $485,900. Built in 1950, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,586 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $390,000 in 2010.

Alinari
Drayton Saunders, of Sarasota, sold his Unit 207 condominium at 800 N. Tamiami Trail to Jeffrey and Deborah Lombard, of Sarasota, for $460,000. Built in 2007, it has two bedrooms, two baths, one half-bath and 1,911 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $410,000 in 2009.

Terry and Maria Green, of Sarasota, sold their home at 5330 Winchester Drive to Gary Fredericks, trustee, of Sarasota, for $445,000. Built in 1955, it has three bedrooms, two baths, one half-bath and 2,016 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $75,000 in 2012.

Elling O. Eide Charitable Foundation Inc. sold two properties at 7132 Point of Rocks Circle to Barry Eckhold, trustee, of Sarasota, for $1.8 million. The first, built in 1918, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,510 square feet of living area. The second, built in 1925, it has one bedroom, one bath and 672 square feet of living area. They previously sold for $330,000 in 1987.

Roberts Point
Steven Denstman, of Sarasota, sold his home at 4108 Roberts Point Road to Teresa Jones, of Sarasota, for $860,000. Built in 2001, it has three bedrooms, two baths, one half-bath, a pool and 2,511 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $640,000 in 2001.

Midnight Harbor
Anthony and Vipa Morelli, of River Forest, Ill., sold their home at 1231 Starboard Lane to Mark Ruzycki and Teresa Bauer, of Ontario, Canada, for $760,000. Built in 1961, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,818 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $750,000 in 2009.

Nina Edmonson, trustee, and Homer Edmonson, of Pinehurst, N.C., sold the Unit 115 condominium at 68 Bishops Court Road to Carl and Barbara Calandra, of Lynchburg, Va., for $275,000.
