McCurdy's Comedy Theatre hosted a pre-grand opening ceremony Monday, June 9, in its new downtown Sarasota location. The sold-out event was host to more than 300 guests, who dined on hors d'oeuvres and sipped drinks while taking in the new location and watching performances by the girls of Black Diamond Burlesque. The event raised funds to benefit the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.  The theater officially opens for performances this Wednesday, June 11.
