Animal Services offers holiday adoption specials

'Tis the season to add another member to the family — maybe a furry feline or pooch.

Manatee County Animal Services will spread holiday cheer by offering dogs and cats at discounted prices from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 13, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 14, at its adoption center, located at 305 25th St. W., Palmetto.

Dogs and cats will cost $20, plus a $15 pet license fee for county residents. Dogs normally cost $80 and cats usually cost $40.

Adoptable pets receive a checkup, are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Each adoption also comes with 30-day risk-free pet insurance.

County residents who aren't adopting this weekend can also purchase pet licenses for $15.
