County to hold three budget workshops this week

Sarasota County commissioners and staff will hold three budget workshops this week.

The budget workshops will be held Tuesday, June 12; Wednesday, June 13; and Friday, June 15, in the Think Tank on the third floor of the Sarasota County Administration Center, 1660 Ringling Blvd., Sarasota. The workshops all begin at 9 a.m.

Public hearings on the budget are also scheduled for Monday, Sept. 10, at the Robert L. Anderson Administration Center, 4000 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice, and Monday, Sept. 24, at the Sarasota County Administration Center, in Sarasota.

The preliminary 2013 budget is available online on the county website at www.scgov.net. Go to the Office of Financial Planning page and click on the "Budget Documents" link.
