Ready for a new adventure, I moved from the wintery hills of Pennsylvania to the warm shores of Sarasota. When I move, I frequently fall into the trap of merely inhabiting the area, not exploring it to it's full potential. Part of the reason was that I was a drunk. I moved somewhere, found a job and a bar, and settled in. The only times I ventured further was for a pack of cigarettes, an occasional yoga class, and sporadic trips to the library.

But now it's different. I've ditched the booze, I've put on my big girl pants, and I'm determined to make the most of it. The drinking cost me my license, so I'm scouting out the area on a used Schwinn. It's a glamorous lifestyle, but someone's got to live it.

Where this will go, I don't know (though I do know I'm a poet). People, places and things await. So welcome aboard. My name's Keely and I'll be your tour guide. Please keep all hands, feet and heads inside the side cart; if I take out one more pedestrian, they're booting me from the city.
