+ Manatee County to honor Euphemia Haye chef
The Manatee County Commission will honor Euphemia Haye sous chef and “Hell’s Kitchen” contestant Jamie Gregorich at its Oct. 11 meeting. Gregorich will receive a proclamation declaring Oct. 12 “Jamie Gregorich Day.” Gregorich grew up on Anna Maria and was featured on season nine of the reality TV show. Filming began in July.

+ Commission meetings now available live-stream
Longboat Key Town Commission meetings are now available on a live-stream and on-demand basis. Videos are available at ww.ustream.tv/channel/town-of-longboat-key-commission-meetings-live beginning with the commission’s Oct. 3 regular meeting, which at press time had gotten 171 views. The service will be available through the Bradenton-based Studio 26 Productions on a six-month trial basis.

+ Commission creates audit selection committee
The Longboat Key Town Commission voted to create an audit selection committee at its Oct. 3 regular meeting to explore the selection of a new auditing firm for the town. The commission decided last week to end the town’s relationship with the Bradenton-based Shinn & Co. The committee will consist of Vice Mayor David Brenner and Commissioners Lynn Larson and Jack Duncan, in addition to two members of the public.

+ ZBA, code enforcement meetings canceled
Meetings scheduled for the Longboat Key Code Enforcement Board Oct. 10 and the Zoning Board of Adjustment Oct. 13 have been canceled. The next ZBA meeting will take place at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10. The next regular CEB meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14. For information, visit longboatkey.org.
