Founders of an East County-based not-for-profit dedicated to helping soldiers adjust back into civilian life today discussed their mission during a press conference in Washington, D.C.

Kathleen Gagg, an East County resident and co-founder of Camp Better America, and co-founder Kimberly Burleson, today discussed how volunteer organizations and communities can assist returning veterans, as well as the changing needs of military families, during a "NewsMaker" press conference at the National Press Club.

Camp Better America is working to reconnect military families by giving them the tools they need to create and build their dreams. The organization hopes to assist every military family that has served in the U.S. military since Sept. 11, 2001.
