Voter organization to hold election information sessions

The League of Women Voters of Sarasota County will hold three voter information forums in advance of the midterm and general elections. 

Sessions are scheduled for: 

• 1:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday at William H. Jervey Jr. Library, 300 Nokomis Ave. S., Venice. 
• 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at Shannon Staub Library, 4675 Career Lane, North Port. 
• 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 3 at Gulf Gate Library, 7112 Curtiss Ave., Sarasota.

Each session will feature brief talks about what voters should know before Election Day, registration assistance, sample ballot assistance, review of voter ID requirements, ballot amendments, interactive activities for children and adults, raffle drawings and light refreshments.
