Cancer Support Community honors Vitale

The Cancer Support Community Florida Suncoast on March 14 announced ESPN basketball analyst and philanthropist Dick Vitale will receive the organization’s highest honor.

Vitale will be awarded the Stephen H. Goldman, M.D., Keystone Award at the organization’s 2011 Celebration of Hope dinner April 13 at The Polo Grill and Bar.

“We are pleased to recognize these two exceptional individuals for their invaluable contributions to the fight against cancer in our local community,” said Carl Ritter, CEO of Cancer Support Community Florida Suncoast, which serves patients, survivors and families in the Manatee-Sarasota region.
