The East County's Whisper Bend community today hosted a Community Safety Day.
Representatives of the Florida Highway Patrol, U.S. Coast Guard, Manatee County Sheriff's Office and East Manatee Fire Rescue participated in the event.
Families were able to tour fire trucks and other vehicles and equipment, as well as ask questions of representatives from participating agencies.
