More than 125 Lakewood Ranch residents and Community Emergency Response Team members learned safety tips when ABC 7 Chief Meteorologist Bob Harrigan and Manatee County Emergency Management Official Dick Hayes spoke at CERT’s Hurricane Preparedness event April 7 at Town Hall.

Harrigan’s presentation, titled “The Anatomy of a Hurricane,” highlighted the history of major storms in the area. Haynes spoke about evacuation planning.
