A 2009 Mercedes-Benz stolen from a St. Armands Key residence was recovered Monday morning after a Sarasota man reported a strange vehicle parked in his driveway, according to a Sarasota police report.

The car did not appear to be damaged, according to the report.

The report states the 79-year-old resident of a home in the 100 block of North Washington Drive returned from dinner Sunday night and found her garage door open and her car, which had its keys inside, missing. The woman told police that various items, including jewelry, a small flat-screen TV and cell phone were taken from the home. Police found a sliding door ajar. The woman reported police that the door was closed but not locked because it is difficult to secure.

According to police, no arrests have been made.
