As thousands of Americans rush to file their state and federal taxes before the today’s deadline, the East County Observer caught up with some local residents to see when they typically do their taxes.

When do you normally do your taxes?

“I usually do them about a month and a half before they are due, but this time hopefully by tonight.”

Patricia Battles

When do you normally do your taxes?

“I’m not a procrastinator, so I do mine as soon as I get all of my forms.”

Linda Haluska

When do you normally do your taxes?

“I typically do them in March sometime — about a month in advance.”

When do you normally do your taxes?

“Wendi (my wife) does them because she’s smarter than I am. She finished them Sunday night, so a couple days before.”

Mitsi Corcoran

When do you normally do your taxes?

“I’m a CPA, so I did mine in the middle of February.”
