The Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch recently learned about the Japanese art of flower arranging, Ikebana, and its introduction into Western society during a special presentation last week.

At the Rotary’s April 1 meeting, Pat Bonarek, a high-ranking Sogetsu School professor, demonstrated the art of Ikebana.

Adrienne Wagner assisted with the demonstration and received her official certification as a teacher of the Sogetsu School after the program.

More than 60 people were in attendance.
