DISA-BEER-ING ACT
3:20 p.m. — 0 block of South Lime Avenue
Suspicion: The manager of a convenience store flagged down officers on patrol in the area. The manager reported that a man just stole a beer from their cooler. Officers were able to find the suspect sitting under a tree nearby. The suspect did not have a beer in his possession.

SHOOTING CAR
6:20 p.m. — 700 block of Wood Lane
Property Damage: A man said he was driving on the road when he heard a loud crack in his car’s rear window. The man said it sounded like a BB gun shot that hit the glass. The man said he never saw where the shot came from and did not see anyone in the area with a gun. An officer observed a small hole in the rear window consistent with a BB gun pellet.

BRIDGE-GATE
2:55 p.m. — 1000 block of Siesta Drive
Misc. Officer: An officer responded to a report regarding a car hitting the bridge gate. A driver said he was going westbound on the bridge and stopped because a boat was coming through. The bridge gate came down and hit the hood of his car. After the boat went through, the gate went back up and allowed him to pass. The man said there was no damage to his vehicle, and he alerted police just because the bridge alarm was going up and he wanted to make sure he was not in trouble. Bridge maintenance personnel said they were able to fix the bridge alarm and there was no damage to the gate.

HOUR STRUGGLE
8 p.m. — 2500 block of 17th Street
Dispute: A man complained that the management of a storage service was refusing to let him have 24-hour access to his storage unit. The man was also unable to access his storage unit because the manager changed the access locks. The manager told an officer that the man does not have 24-hour access to his storage unit because all customers are only allowed to access the units between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
