Longboat Key resident Ed Brickman’s name will be remembered by students for years to come as they gather in the Brickman Café at the Ringling College of Art and Design.

The noted jewelry designer has devoted many years to sharing his talent and knowledge as an art teacher at the Longboat Key Center for the Arts, a Division of Ringling College of Art and Design, and he recently donated $500,000 to provide five Alice and Ed Brickman scholarships for Ringling students.

Brickman was honored for his many contributions at the café dedication ceremony April 22, which was held at the Brickman Café, in the Academic Resource Center at Ringling.
