April 17 Feel the burn 2:26 p.m. - 2100 block of GMD. Larceny. Two men were arrested for stealing heartburn medication at a drug store and trying to return it at a grocery store. The Longboat Key Publix store manager positively identified the suspects and the men were taken to the Sarasota Jail.

Out-of-Door Academy first-graders performed an experiment with underwater volcanoes today in Lisa Cheney's marine science room. As the students poured cups of vinegar into a volcano made out of Play-Doh, it united with the baking soda, causing the mixture to foam at the top and erupt over the sides like lava. Nov. 15 Jimmy Choo, where are you? 4:50 p.m. - 1300 block of Thornapple Drive. Grand Theft. A woman told deputies that UPS had left a box at her front door, but when she returned home it was no longer there. Inside the box were three pairs of shoes valued at $400.
