The Israel Tennis Centers Foundation came to Longboat Key on Thursday, March 1. It is something the non-profit organization dedicated to the social, psychological and physical development of Israeli children through tennis has been doing for about 30 years. The children from a handful of the 14 tennis centers across Israel showed off the tennis skills they acquired through the program and shared their stories at dinner.
For instance, Nadine Fahoum a Muslim Arab from Hafia attributes much of her success to the doors the Tennis Centers opened. She will be graduating from Duke University where she is on athletic scholarship and is the number one singles player for tennis. The event was held at the tennis gardens and also at the harborside dining room at Longboat Key Club and Resort.
