Brother, sister duo to compete at CanAmMex Games

Last August, McKayla Taaffe, a senior at Pine View School, claimed her first gold medal at the 2010 U.S. Rowing Club National Championship, in Oak Ridge, Tenn. This August, she and her younger brother, Travis, a Pine View sophomore, are planning to take home the gold when they compete in the CanAmMex Games, in Canada.

A home on Casey Key in Treasure Island Shores tops all real-estate transactions from July 11 to July 15. Ermon and Linda Pickard, of Savannah, Tenn., sold their home at 1011 Casey Key Road to Kenneth Rowe Investments Limited Partnership for $7,575,000. Built in 2004, it has six bedrooms, six baths, four-half baths, a pool and 10,291 square feet of living area.
