The Sarasota 9/10 and 10/11 American teams both posted opening day victories over their Sarasota National counterparts. The district tournament runs through June 26 with the winners from each division advancing to the sectional tournament.

Sarasota debutantes volunteered for Habitat for Humanity Saturday, June 21. The debutantes, along with the help of parents and escorts, worked on a new home for a family. The group worked on mainly on finishing the roof. "I think we nailed it," said Quinn Incardona after two hours of nailing the roof together.
